“Order Your Credit Report”
There are multiple sources to get a copy of your credit report. Some free, some have a one-time fee, and some will have a subscription based service to monitor your credit scores. To get a free copy of your credit report, you are allowed to receive a copy of your credit report from each credit bureau once per year. The website to claim and receive a free copy of your credit report from each credit bureau is www.annualcreditreport.com according to the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA).
There are 3 major credit bureaus that 90% of lenders use that you are given copy of.
- Experian
- Exquifax
- TransUnion
There are three ways to request copies of your three credit report.
Online:
You can ask for your free annual credit report from https://www.AnnualCreditReport.com. Make sure you are on this site before ordering your report. This is the official site, authorized by the Federal government, for you to get your free reports. You usually can get your report immediately by ordering it online after you have verified your identity through an authentication process.
Phone:
- Call 1-877-322-8228
- You will go through a verification process over the phone.
- Your credit report will be mailed to you within 15 days
Mail:
- Download the request form (You need an Adobe viewer to view the requested form. Download the free Adobe viewer)
- Print and complete the form
- Mail the completed form to:

- Atlanta, GA 30348-5281
- Your credit report will be mailed to you within 15 days.
