Renewed for Success
Before we get into the steps to reprogramming the brain for success in this lesson we will define success. Most people have not understood the simple definition of success, so it have been nearly impossible for most people to not only reach success, but to also fail to determine what it means for them to be a success.
As stated in the previous lesson success is the achievement of a desire or goal. There are two important things we need to address about true success before we move forward to identify the steps needed to be taken to transform our minds for success.
The first one is true success is only realized with real desires and real goals. To say I want to be happy and successful is not enough. What would make you happy and successful in specific terms. When we receive specific desires that is the secret to contentment.
We live our lives too often in randomness, our desires are all over the place. So even when we accomplish anything it does have true meaning because it is to random. But when we reach a specific goal or desire we feel a sense of achievement.
Identify what you want and go for it, because you will not only enjoy it when you get it, but you will also appreciate the journey to get there.
The second one is true success is not about being self-centered. When we are talking about having real desires and real goals, that does not mean that only applies to personal desires and goals. In order words, true success should not be all about what we want.
Self-centeredness is a real hindrance to true success. Helping other people succeed is not wrong, neither is it cheating yourself. Looking out for number one is not the real problem. The problem comes with number two is not as valuable as number one.
Our desires and goals must be specific and unselfish to bring real success. The next lesson will deal with simple steps that any one can take to reprogram their mind for success.
